“Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And more important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.” This is a quote from Steve Jobs, Apple visionary. Let me delve deeper into his words. What I write here is strictly what I think and feel.
In life, we will never be the same as each other. Nobody should tell you that you are identical to someone else, because this would be a lie. There will always be a difference from one person to another. Do you ever ask yourself why no thumbprints match another? And why our opinions differ?
Most of us face opposition from all sides. Some feel that when trouble starts, it comes flying and attacks us from different angles. Believe me when I tell you that hope sometimes is all you have, when you have nothing else. With hope, you have everything.
People will talk about us. Never expect what they say to be 100% positive. That would be expecting humans to be 100% perfect. For example, many people spread word that Michelle Obama is secretly a man, and they all argued that they had evidence. Did this stop her from speaking to crowds? Did it make her weaker? Actually, it made her stronger. Funnily enough, there were people who actually gave her a word of encouragement while others dragged her into a dark and endless pit with their words.
I believe that Earl Nightingale was right when he said, “All you need is the plan, the road map and the courage to press on to your destination.” It is all in our minds. Our brains can store more than any electronic device. Our brains do not need wires or static electricity; they need you and me… us.
With our minds we can accomplish things that have never been done before. Things no one has thought of. We can make fiction a reality. We all begin to see that there is light, despite all of the darkness around us.
Is it only Harry Potter who can fight dark magic? Is it only Percy Jackson who can fight monsters? Do you believe that there is no magic in this world? The magic is within us – we are magic. We can do the right things when we want to. We can also do negative things when we want to. This is the magic.
Corruption is all over the world. People die of hunger, even when aid is sent. Illiteracy is still among us. You do not need the opinions of other people. You only need your own intuition. Fight the injustices in your world. Do what you can to be the best. When the world whispers, “give up,” hope tells us to try it one more time. We all have to do what we know is right, and never listen to opinions that will make you lose hope. Sometimes, you can use those opinions to make you strong and to fight for what you know is right.
Beautifully written! The positive message really resonates with me and the way I live my life.
