Young Writers

If you were born in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 or 2008, this page is for you:

Welcome to the Blogging Prizes! We have published a record number of articles this year, which you can browse here. It's now voting time, until Saturday 17 November midnight London time, to shortlist the 6 articles in this Young Writers category that will be considered for first and runner-up Prizes!

To participate, authors had to write an essay or a short story of 300 to 800 words on one of these photos:

It doesn't matter if English was not the author's first language: the Jury will focus on the quality of their arguments and the originality of their ideas.

What happens next?

Tell your family and friends to vote for your article by liking it on Facebook directly from the NUHA website and by commenting on it. The voting closes at midnight London time on Saturday 17 November. Enjoy exploring this year's blogging entries.

On 22 November, the Editor will announce the articles that have been shortlisted: these will be the articles that received the most votes, the articles that were most debated and the articles that may not have got much public attention but that deserve to be shortlisted for their intrinsic quality.

The Editor will also introduce the Jury for this year's writing competition. The Jury will focus on the quality of your arguments and the originality of your ideas.

On 10 December, the Editor will announce the Winner, Runner-Up Prizes and Matched Prizes!
