Blogging Prizes Jury – 2013

We are delighted to introduce the Jury for the 2013 edition of the NUHA Blogging Prizes. They announced the winners on 10 December 2013.

Claire Bovy

Claire teaches philosophy at the French high school Lycée Saint Vincent in Senlis, France. She believes that education is about personal development, about fundamentals and about humility, and applies this philosophy to the school as its Vice Principal. Claire also enjoys reading and writing poetry, and photography, with the next exhibition of her works to take place in December in Chantilly, France.

Suzanne Ko

Suzanne is an experienced primary teacher, with a passion for education and learning. She has worked in London primary schools for over four years and has taught across the primary age range of 4-11. She holds a first-class degree from Cambridge in Economics. Prior to moving into the teaching profession, she worked in management consultancy, and she has found her change in career to be immensely rewarding. Going for walks and reading allow her to take time out for herself to relax. She is a keen traveller and often combines her love for hiking with travelling, having completed Mt Fuji, Mt Kota Kinabalu in Borneo and the Inca Trail.

Alim Ladha

Alim currently serves as the CEO of a start-up venture seeking to re-imagine post-secondary education across Africa, based in Johannesburg. Prior to this, Alim worked at McKinsey and Company, as a leader of the Middle East Education Practice in advising public and private sector clients on K-12, Higher education and bridging the gap from Education to employment, particularly on how to build long-term institutional capacity and capabilities to transform. While most of his work focused on the Middle East, he supported teams in South East Asia, Africa, India as well as Latin America. His Academic studies include a Master in Business Administration from INSEAD in France and Singapore, and a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal.
