We are delighted to introduce the Jury for the 2016 edition of the NUHA Blogging Prizes. They announced the winners on 15 December 2014.

Alex Amouyel
Alex Amouyel is the Director of Program at the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI). She leads the program team which is in charge of designing and implementing program content, as well as managing speaker invitations and government relations, for all of CGI’s meetings.
Alex previously worked in a variety of roles for Save the Children in London. In her last three years with Save the Children, she travelled extensively to Asia, the Middle East, and Haiti as the international change manager overseeing the merger of field offices across the Save the Children membership. Prior to that, Alex was a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group.
A dual citizen of France and the UK, Alex holds double master’s degrees in international relations from Sciences Po, Paris and the London School of Economics, and a bachelor’s degree with honours in biochemistry from Trinity College, Cambridge.
Kalina King
Kalina King is the regional director for General Assembly Asia. General Assembly (GA) is a global, venture-backed education company founded in New York City in 2011 that has since expanded to 14 cities across 4 continents. GA offers practical education in digital skills, focusing on the disciplines of technology, business and design.
Kalina previously worked in investment banking and asset management for over five years, most recently helping launch Xingtai China Consumer Fund as a spinout of private equity firm Lunar Capital based in Shanghai/Hong Kong.
Kalina is on the Technology Advisory Council for The Women’s Foundation Hong Kong and a contributor to JUMPSTART magazine in Hong Kong.
Kalina enjoys life-long learning, technology and creativity in all expressions; she is also a co-founder of art and events space lightstage, the largest ground-floor art and creative space in Hong Kong's central district, and a member of the Chinati Contemporary Council. Kalina graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Molecular Biology and Certificate with the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, and studied Mandarin at National Taiwan University.
Ameel Somani
Ameel Somani is a Vice President at Helios Investment Partners, the largest Africa focussed Private Equity Fund. He is a frontier markets investor, with a focus on Sub Saharan Africa, and previous experience in New York and Toronto in Investment Banking and Private Equity.
Ameel also has extensive volunteer experience across Central Asia and South Asia, including in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, and India.
Ameel holds a MBA with Honors from Harvard Business School, and BA/B. Eng in Chemical Engineering and Economics from Queen's University (top student). Ameel has an avid interest in Islamic Art, macro-economics, and skiing.
